shabbat dinner

Because I got up very late (not getting enough sleep on election night or the following night) and didn’t have time to shop Thurs night due to meeting at work, I didn’t have much time to shop and so had to make do with what I already had lying around, so not as many dishes as usual.  I still carved out a nice meal-

peas with Persian celery sauce (from Sadaf)

black beans with Persian walnut/pomegranate sauce (ditto)

sauerkraut pierogies (Kasia’s- much better than Golden’s or even Mrs T’s, available at Jack’s on 6th Ave in Midtown).

baked bananas with Cool Whip
