shabbos dinner

This week’s portion focuses on the first fruits offering, as well as reminding us that Israel is a land of “milk and honey” (Deut. 26:9).

So I decided to have the seven fruits commonly associated with the first fruits offering:

wheat- crepe with sweet cheese/bits of macaron inside (Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Manhattan has kosher macarons)

barley, pomegrante, olives- barley with pomegranate seeds and olive oil

grapes, figs, dates- exactly those fruits (fresh grapes and figs, dried dates)

For milk and honey, I had a frozen bowl of milk, date honey, bee honey, and boiled dates (just for a little variety).

also BBQ tofu riblets because they were lying around (not that good actually)
