Shabbos dinner
This week’s country is Chad, so I am having molokhia stew (recipe at bottom of this page.
And because this week’s Torah portion is about Jacob’s adventures as a herdsman with sheep and goats, I made a dish with goat cheese. I found frozen ghormeh sabzi (a Persian herb dish) and added cheese and tomato sauce to make it more flavorful- it worked very nicely.
And I found kosher sheep’s milk yogurt, so I made a dessert with little phyllo dough cups and the yogurt. (I also got a delicious kosher toffee pudding, but that didn’t really require much work on my part).
Also, my wife made some stuff. She hated the molokhia, liked the ghormeh sabzi.
